  1. It is new years day. We have just had an appliance dishwasher fire on a Hotpoint FDW85. Luckily I was in the room and able to pull out the appliance - it could have been very different if I'd put on the dishwasher last night before bed or had finished making our breakfast in bed this morning, leaving the kids in front of the telly. We will b complaining to Hotpoint

  4. We've just had an identical experience with a Hotpoint DWF30P - control panel sparked and burst into flames. Good job I was in and had a fire extinguisher in the kitchen!!

  5. I've had a fire that may have been caused by a Hotpoint FDW80. Does anybody know if this model is being reviewed as having issues? Fire resulted in house being completely gutted.

  6. Last night our hotpoint dishwasher burst into flames. Fortunately the fire alarm did its job and we had not gone to bed so we responded promptly. The whole house is covered in soot. It was really frightening.
